The Club uses an email list-server for club communications between members. A list-server is essentially a central computer program which holds a list of all the members email addresses. When an email is sent to the group mail address it is automatically sent to every member onthe list. It is not necessary for individual members to retain a separate list and updates to members details are carried out centrally.
This enables information to be transmitted easily and quickly to all member Rotarians and allows just one email to take the place of several time-consuming telephone calls. Also the incoming message can be dealt with within the recipients own time-frame.
To join the group is easy. Just fill in your email address in the box below and click the submit button. That's all. As this is a closed group you will, for security purposes, receive a return email asking you to confirm your personal details. This is a manual process which will normally be completed within 24 hours. Thereafter you will receive a further email confirming your account is now "live" together with further details
