The Rotary Challenge Trail Race 2007
On Sunday 14th October 2007 over 100 runners both club and fun runners, took part in the Rotary Challenge Trail Race over open countryside land to the north of Luton, Bedfordshire. There were races over three distances, a Half-Marathon, 10.3 kilometers, and 5 kilometer. Weather conditions were good The courses were 95% off-road and offered some challenging gradients and surfaces.

This was the third year of this event and 75 runners took part in the Half-Marathon race with 20 participating in the shorter 10.3k event. There were ten"Fun" runners in the 5 Kilometer race. The organisers, the Rotary Club of Luton North, have every expectation of this developing into a much bigger event and post-race feedback from participators has been extremely positive with many saying that they intend to return next year and that they found the course challenging and rewarding.
Unfortunately a large entry contingent form the London area were unable to participate on the day due to travel difficulties on the London Underground system which prevented them getting to the venue in time for the race.
