New Laboratory Equipment for a school for the deaf in Zambia
Club case study - from Newport Pagnell, involving three countries

Newport Pagnell Club are supporting St Josephs school for the deaf in Kitive, Zambia by, hopefully, getting a matching grant for new laboratory equipment.

They are doing this with the Kitwe Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Ede, Holland. The Ede Club and Newport Pagnell Club have had on-going contact since 1964 and have supported each other in various projects. but this is the first time that they have applied for a matching grant.

The project is for about £6,000 worth of equipment etc. The matching grant application went in during 2000-01 but it was held over by Foundation, and is now in again.

The Club's International Committee has also decided to support Hope and Homes for Children during this year and are arranging  various functions during the year to raise funds for them.
